David Bergum & Associates is a sales and marketing agency that identifies, develops and maintains strategic partnerships across less traditional channels to the benefit of the manufacturer, retailer, and end customer.  With nearly 40 years combined experience, their customized approach to each opportunity produces outstanding results and have helped grow business for many of the top companies in the U.S.

 

For the last few years, Team DBA has focussed on the loyalty and gift card industry.  "The incentive and affinity markets are still young and exponentially growing businesses. They are moving at such a fast pace that it’s hard for anyone who isn’t living this space 24/7 to keep up on all the opportunities in the market," states David Bergum, President of DBA. Adds Donita Dennis, EVP Marketing and Business Development, "Our goal is akin to that of matchmaker. David has a knack for quickly assessing business opportunities and gaining concensus among appropriate decision-makers.  He is the "Ethan Hunt" of business development and relationship management.  The more impossible the mission, the more passionate and determined he is to destine its success.  Recently, as VP of Merchant Partnerships at National Scrip Center, David Bergum successfully maintained up to 230 merchant relationships while developing several significant new business partnerships.

David's ability to compare and contrast obscure ales is surpassed only by his genius in fine woodworking.  He can fashion a mission-style dining room table in 19 minutes flat.  With over 20 years in retail heading up sales for major footwear manufacturers such as Reebok and Birkenstock, David is a wealth of information on everything from the receiving needs of L.L. Bean to launching a new line.

 

 

Donita Dennis

Formerly as Director of Marketing and Associate Director of Merchant Partnerships, Doni developed marketing plans not only for National Scrip Center but also for dozens of key merchants to increase sales and reinforce the channel experience. Doni looks beyond the obvious to find creative solutions to everyday challenges.   

 

When Doni's not teaching one of her four kids how to throw a knuckleball or debating the virtues of Rugrats vs. Dora, she is on the No Limit Texas Hold-'em poker tour sharpening her ability to recognize opportunities for maximizing success.  After 15 years of advertising and marketing experience including working with companies such as Volvo Cars of North America, The New York Times Company, Saturn Cars, PBS, Mirage Hotels & Casinos, and Alamo Rent-A-Car, Doni is ready to storm the castle with you.
